attractive outdoor garden restaurant does fantastic vegetarian dishes including eight differ-
ent kinds of dosa and 14 paneer dishes. The downside is that there is no alcohol on offer.

Getting There & Away
BUS
From the bus stand ( 251344) , two evening buses at 10pm and 11pm head to Bidar (?250,
seven hours). Ordinary buses head frequently to Gulbarga (?125, four hours) and Hubli
(?160, six hours). There are buses to Bengaluru (ordinary/sleeper ?438/650, 12 hours, sev-
en daily) via Hospet (?180, five hours), Hyderabad (?500, 11 hours, four daily) and Mum-
bai (?500, 12 hours, eight daily) via Pune (?380, 10 hours).
TRAIN
From Bijapur train station, express trains go to Sholapur (2nd class ?80, 2½ hours, three
daily), Bengaluru (sleeper/2AC ?277/1190, 17 hours, three daily), 3pm service to Mumbai
(2nd class ?150; 12 hours, four weekly) and Hyderabad (sleeper ?150, 14 hours, one
daily) at 6pm. There are three trains to Badami (?120).
Getting Around
Given the amount to see and distance to cover, ?450 is a fair price to hire an autorickshaw
for a day of sightseeing. Expect to pay ?40 to get from the train station to the town centre,
and ?50 between Golgumbaz and Ibrahim Rouza.
