Rock-Climbing
(Around Hampi) Hampi is the undisputed bouldering capital of India. The entire landscape is
a climber's adventure playground made of granite crags and boulders, some bearing the
marks of ancient stonemasons. Tom & Jerry ( 9481093862, 9482746697; luckykoushik1@gmail.com ;
Virupapur Gaddi; 3hr class ?350) are two local lads who are doing great work in catering to
climbers' needs, providing quality mats, shoes and local knowledge. They can also organ-
ise all-inclusive bouldering trips to Badami for ?1600. Challenging rock faces can also be
found in Ramnagar, 40km south of Bengaluru, Savandurga, 50km west of the capital, and
Turahalli, on Bengaluru's southern outskirts.
