Hidden in the jungle on the Colomb
Bay side of Palolem, Sevas comprises a village of well-built and maintained huts and
cabanas ranging from basic to stylish. Most have attached bathroom, some are built on
stilts. Yoga classes, ayurvedic massage and a restaurant are on offer.

Ensconced in a thick wooded
grove between Palolem and Patnem, Bhakti's rustic cottages are looking a little worn, and
you might find yourself sharing with the local wildlife, but they still make for a unique
jungle ecoretreat. There are daily drop-in yoga classes and ayurvedic treatments, a relax-
ing vibe, and the outdoor restaurant serves up imaginative, healthful food.

You can't beat the location, right at the main beach entrance, and although not flash,
Palolem Beach Resort's seasonal cottages are clean and comfortable, and the staff effi-
cient and friendly. It also has some of the only beachfront air-con rooms (which are open
year-round). The plywood nonair-com rooms at the back are disappointing for the price.

If you can't face an-
other hut or the crazy beach scene, this is a good choice a five-minute walk back from the
southern end of Palolem Beach. The variety of rooms are simple but clean and comfort-
able, some with balconies, and the leafy garden restaurant is a good place to hang out.

of the sturdiest and best-designed huts on the beach, with real windows, stone floors, full-
length mirrors, wood detailing and nicer bathrooms than you'll find in most hotels, all ar-
ranged around peaceful palm-filled gardens and a genuine lawn. It's the perfect balance of
