beachfront and popular with local and international tourists alike, Pedro's offers standard
Indian, Chinese and Italian dishes, as well as a good line in Goan choices and some super
'sizzlers'.
Johncy Restaurant
(Vasvaddo Beach Rd; mains ?110-195; 7am-midnight) At the main entrance to the beach, Johncy
has been around forever, dispensing standard beach-shack favourites from its semiper-
manent location just off the sands.

Information
Colva has plenty of banks and ATM machines strung along the east-west Colva Beach
Rd, and a post office on the lane that runs past the eastern end of the church. Benaulim has
a '24-hour' Bank of Baroda ATM at Maria Hall and (if that's locked) a HDFC ATM on
the back road to Colva. Most useful services (pharmacies, supermarkets, internet, travel
agents) are clustered around Benaulim village, which runs along the east-west Vasvaddo
Beach Rd.
Getting There & Around
As with other beaches, scooters can be rented at Colva and Benaulim for around ?200.
COLVA
Buses run from Colva to Margao every few minutes (?10, 20 minutes) until around 7pm.
An autorickshaw/taxi to Margao costs ?200/250.
BENAULIM
Buses from Benaulim to Margao are also frequent (?10, 20 minutes); they stop at the
Maria Hall crossroads, 1.2km east of the beach. Some from Margao continue south to
Varca and Cavelossim. Autorickshaws and pilots charge around ?200 for Margao, and ?60
for the five-minute ride to the beach.
