Prithvi Theatre

Hindi and English-language theatre. Its excellent international theatre festival in Novem-
ber showcases what's going on in contemporary Indian theatre and includes performances
by international troupes and artists. The theatre also has film screenings and a charming
cafe.
Liberty Cinema

( 9820027841; 41/42 New Marine Lines, near Bombay Hospital) The stunning art-deco Liberty was
once the queen of Hindi film - think red-carpet openings with Dev Anand - while Bom-
bay's other cinemas were focused on Hollywood. It fell on hard times but has been mak-
ing a valiant effort to be awesome again and now occasionally hosts film festivals and live
music in terribly atmospheric surrounds.

11.30am-7pm Mon-Sat) Test matches and One Day Internationals are played a few times a year
in season (October to April). Contact the Cricket Association for ticket information; for a
test match you'll probably have to pay for the full five days.
Cooperage Football Ground

to FC Air India, Mumbai FC and ONGC FC, hosts national-league and local football (soc-
cer) matches between September and April, as well as the Rose Cup in July/August. Tick-
ets are available at the gate, though many local matches are free.
