CAFE
GOOGLE MAP
(82 Veer Nariman Rd, Churchgate; coffees ?60-150; 10am-1.30am; ) This atmospheric Arabian-
styled cafe is often filled to the brim with students deep in esoteric conversation or gossip.
Cosy, low-cushioned seating (including some old cinema seats), exotic coffees, shakes
and teas, and global comfort cuisine promote an intellectually chillaxed vibe. Sometimes
the wi-fi works.
Starbucks

( www.starbucks.in ; Veer Nariman Rd; coffees ?95-180; 8am-10pm) We were sceptical too, but when
this first Starbucks cafe opened in 2012, Mumbai's young, fun and beautiful were so, so
happy that it's worth a visit just to see their joy. The coffee is all fair-trade and sourced
from India.

(NCPA, Nariman Point; 7.30pm-1.30am Fri-Sun) The NCPA's elegant Spanish restaurant opens its
lounge, with great DJs, on weekends for the SoBo crowd.
Café Universal
MAP GOOGLE MAP
(299 Shahid Bhagat Singh Rd, Fort; 9am-11pm Mon-Sat, 4-11pm Sun) A little bit of France near CST.
The Universal has an art nouveau look to it, with butterscotch-colour walls, a wood-beam
ceiling and marble chandeliers, and is a cosy place for happy hour and Kingfisher
draughts (?160).
