Rickshaws (
sānlúnchē
) are now less common, particularly in the city centre, but you'll
still see them (both cycle-powered and motorised), around major tourist sights. They're
fun, but they're generally more expensive than taxis, and foreign tourists are often heavily
overcharged. If you do take one, make sure you are clear about the pre-agreed price (writ-
ing it down is a good idea), and about which currency you are negotiating in.
