Whether it's the chance to experience the intricate, highly stylised Peking opera, or tum-
bling, spinning and high-wire-walking acrobats, to say nothing of shaven-headed Shàolín
monks showing off their supreme fighting skills, Běijīng is a great place to catch a show.
There are performances every night of the week, giving you no excuse to miss out. And
don't be put off by the language barrier; most shows are easy to follow. Acrobatics in par-
ticular is a stunning spectacle. Just don't try to repeat at home what you see here.
