levels, this quirky bar includes strange-shaped furniture, cheese-like wall panelling punc-
tured with holes, and floors with rather disconcerting glass sections that allow you to view
the level below. There's a free pool table and table football (¥5) as well as a neat little roof
terrace, which looks out over the hútòng . The basement has a small dance floor.

m in size. Still cosy, still friendly and still completely nonsmoking.

Located in between the Drum and Bell Towers, from whom it takes its name, the main at-
traction of this bar is its splendid roof terrace. It's a great spot to catch some rays on lazy
Sunday afternoons, or to while away a summer evening. In winter, retreat downstairs,
where there are comfy sofas to sink into.

this small place burst onto the scene in 2011 and continues to reel in well-dressed, artsy
types with its live music (mostly jazz) and cultural events such a film screenings, dance
classes and mah-jong evenings. The drinks are well priced, with beers from ¥15 and im-
ported wines from ¥35.
