friendly restaurant serves up some of the most authentic Taiwanese cuisine in town. The
emphasis is on traditional Taiwanese dishes such as three-cup chicken, which comes in a
clay pot, spiced with garlic and basil, as well as deep-fried pepper salt shrimp or frog and
ǒ -á-chian, an oyster omelette topped with a sweet sauce that's the most popular snack in
Taiwan. English menu, but no English sign.

cently renovated 600-year-old temple and opened by celebrated chef Ignace Lecleir, this
place was always going to be a bit special. It arrived on the scene, much anticipated, in
2011, and hasn't disappointed. The service is flawless, the food - salmon, lobster, pigeon,
veal - is exquisite (although some moan about the small portions) and the ambience is
certainly unique. It also has one of the best wine lists in town. The whole menu, including
the ¥135 lunchtime set menu, can be viewed on its website. Reservations recommended.
