The spigot bucket

on the five-gallon bucket. Spigots similar to the one below are available at homebrew supply stores
and online.
They are relatively cheap and make harvesting the bokashi tea a little easier. They come in es-
pecially handy if you have multiple bokashi buckets going, because you can stack the buckets on
top of each other and still be able to access the tea in each bucket without having to take the whole
stack apart.
The spigots themselves are pretty simple to install. The first thing you will need to do is choose
the spot on the bucket where you want to install the spigot. It sounds simple — just put it at the
bottom.Butyoudohavetotakeonethingintoconsideration,theheightofthespigotspoutandhow
far the spigot is installed from the bottom of the bucket. If you install the spigot too close to the
bottom the spout on the spigot is going to end up lower than the bottom, of the bucket. This means
that you can never set the bucket on a flat surface; you are always going to have to hang it over the
edge of something so the spigot doesn't rest on the ground or you will have to cut the spout on the
spigot to accommodate.
