ing the bokashi juice, just remove the bucket with holes in it and you can ferment your food waste
in the remaining intact bucket.
Is this the easiest way to harvest the juice? No, a spigot is probably easier, but this type of setup
is super simple and most people have a few five-gallon buckets sitting around, so the only item you
may need to buy is a lid for the upper bucket.
IfyouaregoingtomakeyourownbokashibucketthenIwouldstronglysuggestusingaGamma
Seal for the lid.
The Gamma Seal will give you an easy-to-use, long-lasting, high-quality lid that is designed
to be opened and closed thousands of times using only one hand. And the lids are designed to be
airtight, with the two pieces of the lid threading together and sealing against a rubber gasket. The
Gamma Seals are relatively cheap at around ten dollars each and are sold at many hardware stores
or online. They are heavy duty, so they will last for an extremely long time, and given their relative
ease of use, they will save you a bunch of frustration in the long run for only a few dollars more of
initial investment.
