Khatt Hot Springs
Hot springs in the desert? Who needs it? Well, if your bones ache or your muscles are
sore, the 40°C mineralised water gushing forth from the natural hot springs at the
Harmony
Ayurveda Centre

apparently does wonders in
limbering you up. Relax in gender-segregated pebble-floored pools or choose from the
huge spa menu (honey and sesame body polish anyone?). Admission is free if you're stay-

, a castle-shaped behemoth on a hilltop above the springs, which also
has its own relaxation options (pool, sauna, steam room, ice grotto). Rooms are good-
sized and will treat you to date palm-dotted valley views; service could be sharper.
Khatt is about 25km southeast of RAK City. Follow Hwy E18 past the airport, then
look for signs.
