Terminal 1 and 3 at Dubai International Airport as well as booths at Deira City Centre ,
BurJuman , Wafi Mall , Ibn Battuta and Mercato Mall , although the latter are fre-
quently unstaffed.
Getting There & Away
AIR
Dubai International Airport ( 224 5555, flight enquiries 224 5777; www.dubaiairport.com ) Busy air hub
with three terminals and a famed duty-free selection. Terminal 3 is used exclusively by
Emirates Airlines. Terminals are linked by shuttle buses operating 24/7 at 10-minute inter-
vals.
BUS
The Roads and Transport Authority ( Click here ) operates local buses within Dubai as well
as inter-emirate routes. Buses are air-conditioned and dirt-cheap but can get crowded.
Maps and timetables are available at the stations as well as online.
The two main stations are Al Ittihad (cnr Omar ibn al-Khattab & Al-Rigga Rds) , next the Union
metro station in Deira, and Al Ghubaiba (Al Ghubaiba Rd, Bur Dubai) , opposite the Carrefour su-
permarket, in Bur Dubai.
