Safe Travel
Despite residual issues following the Arab Spring in 2011, the region is, by and large, safe to travel in with the exception
of Yemen. In Yemen the ongoing insurgence and tribal conflict combines with a threat of terrorism and kidnapping to
exclude it from all but the most hardy of travellers. At the time of writing, the situation in Bahrain remained somewhat
volatile but all other countries in the region were stable and safe to visit. Check with your embassy website for the latest
travel advice.
