collection here ranges from exquisite Islamic manuscripts and old coins to stunning fur-
niture and pottery. Exhibits are accompanied by good captions and information panels, as
well as some dioramas. Note that the museum can't open for fewer than 10 people; try to
form a group or telephone to join one.
Shallaby Museum of Traditional Handicrafts & Hejazi Heritage MUSEUM
( 697 7442; Al-Balad; 10am-1pm & 6-11pm Sat-Thu) Shallaby Musem has a good collec-
