Beit Seyadi HISTORIC BUILDING
OFFLINE MAP GOOGLE MAP
(Central Muharraq) A traditional house from the pre-oil period, Beit Seyadi once be-
longed to a pearl merchant. The house is closed for restoration but the fine exterior, with
its peculiar rounded corners decorated with emblems of stars and crescent moon, makes it
worth a visit. An old mosque is attached to the house.
While you are in the neighbourhood, look across the car park outside Beit Seyadi at the
house of Aleh Sultan Sameen Bak - that's if you can find it! It's hard to differentiate the front
door from the panels of corrugated iron, mirrors, plastic flowers and other 'life collect-
ibles' that have accrued in the entrance way.
