In-Depth Information
Toilets
» Peruvian plumbing, especially in remote areas, can leave something to be desired.
» Avoid putting toilet paper and other inorganic waste into the toilet. Even a small amount
of paper can muck up an entire plumbing system. Instead, deposit paper and feminine hy-
giene items into the plastic bin that is provided.
» Public toilets are rare outside of transportation terminals, restaurants and museums, but
restaurants will generally let travelers use a restroom (sometimes for a charge). Those in
terminals generally charge about S0.50 per person for use.
» Public restrooms frequently run out of toilet paper, so always carry some with you.
