Tours
There are about 30 guides with official licenses granted by the local Ministerio de Indus-
tria y Turismo. Many of the best ones work full time for one of the local jungle lodges.
Beware of sketchy guides at the airport, who try and take you to a 'recommended' hotel.
Guides charge from S75 to S175 per person per day.

Cocooned in its own tropical garden on the edge of
town, this lodge has eight double-room bungalows with shared bathroom and four luxury
bungalows with private facilities. There is a small pool and a spacious two-floor
restaurant-bar serving great Thai food and pancake breakfasts.

It may be a little overpriced but you can't argue that the rooms aren't
the city's best. The more you pay, the more the size of your flat-screen TV increases. The
views from the roof are some of the best around.
