About 11km east of town, up the wooded Fernández valley, a natural
hot spring

has bubbling water and powder -fine mud - perfect for a face pack. It's slightly sulfur-
ous, but is said to have curative properties. It can be reached by
mototaxi
(S35, including
waiting time).
There are remote, deserted beaches around Máncora; ask your hotel to arrange a taxi.
Just be prepared to walk - not all beaches lie right off the road.
