The Treasures of Sipán
Dedicated archaeologists have spent decades piecing together the history of Peru's ancient
civilizations. Unfortunately, what the Spanish didn't ransack, generations of looters have.
In the 1980s, however, a rare discovery was made outside Chiclayo: an almost-intact
Moche tomb. Its treasures are now on display at the Museo Tumbas Reales de Sipán ( Click
here ) , providing visitors with a rare opportunity to admire priceless objects in their histor-
ical context.
