Other elements include a set of labyrinthine rooms filled with friezes of birds, fish and
waves, as well as a walk-in well that once supplied the daily water needs of the royal
compound. Also on view is a Mausoleum , where a king was buried with human sacri-
fices, as well as the fascinating Assembly Room , a large rectangular room with 24 seats
set into niches in the walls. Its acoustic properties are such that speakers sitting in any one
of the niches can be clearly heard all over the room.
