4 PISCO
If you're a novice mountain climber, I recommend Pisco ( Click here ) , which stands at
5750m. It's a short, relatively easy glaciated climb, though previous experience using
crampons and an ice ax is recommended. You can do a round-trip from Huaraz in
about three to four days (if you're acclimatized). The views from the top are spectacu-
lar.
5 CAFÉ ANDINO
In Huaraz, I recommend this café ( Click here ) , which has fresh-brewed coffee, good
breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as incredible views of the mountains. There's even
wi-fi and a little library - a good spot to rest.
