There are no banks or ATMs in Santa Teresa - you must bring all the cash you need. You
may be able to change dollars at an extremely unfavorable rate. Internet access is poor, but
available in a few cafes.
Getting There & Away
Many travelers arrive in Santa Teresa as part of an organized trek.
You can take the train to Aguas Calientes for visits to Machu Picchu. Tickets for this route
are sold only at the Peru Rail ticket office ( 6-8am & 10am-3pm daily, 6-8pm Wed & Sun) ,
which is located inside the Santa Teresa bus terminal.
