side street, Huacatay is worth hunting down. The tender alpaca steak, served in a port re-
duction with quinoa risotto, is the stuff memories are made of. Not every dish is a hit (the
trout is on the dry side), but it makes for a lovely night out.

corner of the highway and the main street, Mariscal Castilla, and along the highway to its east.
Getting There & Away
Urubamba is quite spread out, so expect to do a lot of walking or pay for mototaxis (three-
wheeled motorcycle rickshaw taxis).
