This relentlessly decorated lounge redefines
kitsch with glitter balls, fake fur and bathtub-cum-aquarium tables complete with live
goldfish. It isn't cheap, but the hallucinatory interiors are worth seeing at least once.

Run by a motorcycle enthusiast,
this unassuming expat pub overlooks the Plaza de Armas. It's a boon for people-watching,
if you can get a balcony seat. Though known for delicious burgers, it's also got TVs, darts
and billiards to help you work up a thirst. Avoid the burritos.

This typical British pub has all the trappings, with leather
barstools and dark wood - as well as a long list of imported beer and excellent wi-fi.

Gloriously glamorous and run by high-profile hipsters, Frogs offers a bit
of everything: café service during the day and live music at night that ranges from acous-
tic to reggae to funk.

The most consistently popular nightspot in town,
Ukuku's plays a winning combination of rock, reggae,
reggaetón
, salsa and hip-hop, and
often hosts live bands. Usually full to bursting after midnight.

Though it may change names, this place usually has the
latest electronic music collection, with trance, house and hip-hop mixed in with main-
stream stan dards . It has chill-out sofas upstairs but this isn't the place for chat.
