two-story colonial house with an iron stairway designed by Gustave Eiffel, Zig Zag is a
Peruvian restaurant with European inflections. The menu classic is a meat selection served
on a volcanic stone grill, accompanied by various sauces. The fondues are also good.

Peru's most famous chef, Gastón Acurio, owns this experimental place which of-
fers a menu that never veers too far from Peru's roots. River prawns are a highlight in sea-
son (April to December), as are the alpaca burgers and the fresh pastas. But there are
plenty of staples, too:
