Many folks fly over the Nazca Lines and then leave. But this region has lots of amaz-
ing sites that don't always get into the guidebooks. In the nearby village of Palpa, there
are ancient petroglyphs. To the west, in El Ingenio, you'll find old baroque churches.
In San Fernando, about an hour south, there are wild beaches full of sea lions and pen-
guins.
