while ABA content increased during cold acclimatization, in
spite of a huge cellular division and enlargement which is
associated in the reproductive period of rice growth.
From the above mentioned fi ndings it is evident that low
temperature at early and late reproductive phase of plant
growth of rice, ultimately, spikelet fertility is affected severely.
Rice varieties respond differently the spikelet sterility at any
