In-Depth Information
while the remaining varieties were susceptible or moderately
susceptible to low temperature at booting and fl owering stages.
These varieties from China (B55, Lijianghegu, Benjjiemang)
and one from Hungary (HSC55) showed consistent tolerance
to low temperature at all growth stages (Ye et al. 2012) (Tables
44 & 45).
Some rice varieties were searched in different countries
to have local cold tolerant rice varieties. In the quest of that
endeavour some rice varieties have been identified to be
examined for cold tolerance throughout the world for further
utilization.
