a couple of observers, it's a Friday afternoon, and the users are in a jovial mood. In a case like this I
sometimes allow a bit more conversation and even an occasional interruption. But the facilitator retains
the right to allow or prohibit this to the extent that he or she feels is appropriate. With new observers (or
facilitators), it's best to manage the user-observer interactions strictly at first—it's easier to relax
discipline than it is to make it more stringent.
