On that page, they allow you to get the HTML code for the “image and text”, the “text
only”, and the “image only”, as you can see on the following screenshot:
I like to copy out the actual URL instead of the entire code, and then insert it where I need
to on my website, but how you set it up is up to you!
So now that you know how to get your affiliate links from Amazon, where on the website
should they go? Well, as mentioned earlier, a great way to get images for your website is
from Amazon, and then have the images link to Amazon with your specific affiliate link.
So for every picture you have on your website, make it link to that specific Amazon page
selling that product with your affiliate link. Also include a “call to action” text affiliate link
somewhere on that same post for each picture too (i.e. something like “Click here to buy
this product!”). This will inevitably generate some affiliate sales off of your post!
Another trick I use to make money from Amazon Associates is adding a simple affiliate
text link on the top right of my website in the sidebar. For example, for a blog that is about
construction and cement products, the text link would say something like “Click here for
the widest selection and bestselling concrete and cement construction products!” and the
link would point to the homepage of Amazon (or maybe the main construction section of
Amazon). Then I will make a commission off of anything that visitor buys for the next 24
hours. Simple and effective!
