In-Depth Information
If two keywords on your list are extremely similar, combine them into the same article (i.e.
- if the two keywords are “toaster ovens” and “oven toasters”, they should be used in the
same article). Primarily target the keyword with the higher search volume, and then you
can include the other keyword into the article itself.
Note: If your keyword is “camera reviews digital”, do not make your post title awk-
ward by making it something like “Top Camera Reviews Digital” - keep the reader in
mind first, not the search engines! In that case, change up the keyword or add some
words so that it makes sense, maybe something like “Top Camera Reviews for Digital
Models” - this will help you in the long run and won't annoy your human readers.
2. Include four or five related keywords to your main keyword within the article (the way
to find these is by typing your main keyword into the Google Keyword Tool, and check-
ing off “Only show ideas closely related to my search terms”). The resulting keywords will
be related keywords. For example, the related keywords to “toaster ovens” would be “con-
vection toaster ovens”, “black toaster ovens”, and “toaster oven reviews.” Adding in these
additional keywords will drive more traffic to your posts. These related keywords can also
help lead the direction of the article and what you should write about.
However, if it doesn't make sense to include these additional related keywords into
your article, then don't include them.
3. Include one or two of the OTHER keywords from your main spreadsheet within the
article. These keywords will automatically be made into links using a linking plugin we
will install later. These links within your articles will help interconnect your website and
strengthen the website posts overall.
4. Use categories for your articles. Just make up categories that make sense for your web-
site posts and include each article in the ones that are relevant to make the website easier to
navigate (no need to SEO the categories or overthink it!).
5. Add an image or two to each post for added SEO benefit (I showed you how to add im-
ages in the introductory videos you watched earlier).
Note: if you don't want to use or take your own photos for your posts, you can
purchase royalty free images on websites that sell them for these kinds of purposes.
