One particular technique for using soil blockers merits
attention. An insert can be purchased for the 2-inch soil
blocker that makes a 3/4-inch cubic indentation in the block
to accept 3/4-inch soil blocks. This is a great idea because it
allows germination to be accomplished in smaller soil blocks
that are then transplanted into the larger ones. That way you
aren't taking up a large soil block with seed that won't
germinate.
