TOP OF CHAPTER
Church Bay (Porth Swtan)
Tucked away Church Bay has a fine grin of a beach, smirking at the Irish Sea. There's
only a scattering of houses, one of which is 17th-century Swtan ( www.swtan.co.uk ; adult/child £3/1;
noon-4pm Tue-Sun Easter-Sep) , the last surviving thatched cottage on Anglesey. Surprisingly,
there are a couple of excellent eateries.
Eating
Wavecrest Cafe
( 01407-730650; snacks £3-9; 10.30am-4pm Thu-Mon Easter-Sep) A cosy, relaxed cafe with local
photography for sale, great snack lunches (try the homemade fish pie), and creamy scones
and gigantic sponges for afternoon tea.
CAFE £
Lobster Pot
