Gwledd Conwy Feast
( www.gwleddconwyfeast.co.uk ; Oct) Held over a weekend in late October, this food festival,
spiced up with performances and a lantern parade, is the highlight of the Conwy calendar.
It incorporates the Blinc digital art festival, with images projected onto the castle walls at
night. Around 25,000 people attend, so book accommodation well in advance. If you're
out of luck, nearby Llandudno has more options.

above the town, this former hotel has been converted into a top-notch hostel - the best in
North Wales. Dorms have either two or four beds, and many of the private rooms have en
suites. Head up to the large dining room for awesome views of the mountains and the sea.
To get here, continue from Upper Gate St onto Sychnant Pass Rd; the hostel's up a long
drive to the left.
Bryn Derwen Guest House

hind steep lawns, this six-bedroom Victorian town house B&B is barely a five-minute
walk south of the walled town. The rear rooms are small, with tiny bathrooms, but they're
priced accordingly.
