Tucked underneath the cliffs near the slate museum, this 18m-deep
water-filled quarry offers diving year-round. Beneath the inky-looking but largely
sediment-free waters are two boats, a quarry-man's house and plenty of fish.

Right by the slate
museum, this high ropes course is aimed at ages 'eight to infinity', but there's a special
low course for four to eight year olds. A session lasts two hours; call ahead for opening
times. The same outfit also offers guided climbs and walks under the name Snowdonia
Outdoor.

Small groups and families can work with Boulder to devise their own adventure from a
list including rock climbing, abseiling, gorge walking, coasteering, orienteering, kayaking,

hostel-style accommodation within a spacious Victorian house on the slopes above Llan-
beris.
