bar.

The daily National Express ( www.nationalexpress.com ) coach from Aberystwyth (£11.70, 1¾
hours) to London (£32.80, five hours), via Newtown (£4.50, 25 minutes), Shrewsbury
(£4.90, 30 minutes) and Birmingham (£10.30, 2¼ hours) stops in front of the tourist of-
fice.
Welshpool is on the Cambrian Line, which crosses from Aberystwyth (£13.60, 1½
hours) to Birmingham (£13, 1½ hours) every two hours, via Machynlleth (£11.70, 57
minutes), Newtown (£4.80, 15 minutes) and Shrewsbury (£5.70, 25 minutes).
