the the town's long history (Montgomery was granted a Royal Charter in 1227, making it
the oldest borough in Wales) and features scale models of the castle, artefacts from excav-
ations, and exhibits on the Cambrian Railway, the local workhouse and construction of
half-timbered buildings.

daily specials and, of course, some luscious cakes.

local art on the walls and a fine line in home baking, Ivy House offers a good selection of
