customers since the day it opened. The food is imaginative without being fussy, the ser-

Getting There & Around
If you're on a bike, Lôn Las Cymru passes through Machynlleth, heading north to Corris,
south to Llanwrtyd Wells and southeast to Rhayader.
Bus routes include X28 to Aberystwyth (40 minutes); T2 to Dolgellau (35 minutes),
Porthmadog (90 minutes), Caernarfon (2¼ hours) and Bangor (2¾ hours); X85 to New-
town (51 minutes); and 34 to the Centre for Alternative Technology (7 minutes) and Cor-
