little deli and cafe. Stock up on supplies for a gourmet picnic, enjoy some of the best cof-
fee for miles or tuck in to the delicious tapas. A set menu (two-/three-course £11/13) is
also available at lunchtime.

Plum Vanilla

sisters that run this little boho cafe, this popular local haunt has a loyal following who
flock here for the hearty selection of homemade soups, interesting salads, quiches, lus-
cious desserts and daily specials. Be prepared to wait for a table at lunchtime.

Bus routes include bus 322 to Carmarthen (37 minutes) and Haverfordwest (20 minutes);
and bus 430 to Cardigan (one hour).
There are direct trains to Tenby (£4.50, 19 minutes) and Carmarthen (£7.50, 26 minutes).

A workaday town rather than a tourist hot spot, Haverfordwest is Pembrokeshire's main
transport and shopping hub. Though it retains some fine Georgian buildings, many are in
dire need of repair and it lacks the prettiness and historic atmosphere of many of its neigh-
bours.
