beach as you can get, this large camping ground can accommodate 300 tents and motor
homes. On-site surfy-style Eddy's Restaurant has brilliant views, and rustles up breakfast
for under a fiver, plus burgers, curries and scampi (around £8).

King's Head

of the same name, these two stone blocks have been simply but stylishly fitted out with
modern bathrooms and pale stone tiles. The location, behind the pub and walking distance
from the beach, makes it a winner.

the King's Head, which serves real ales - some courtesy of the new and award-winning

Llanmadoc
Little Llanmadoc sits on the edge of Whiteford Burrows, a nature reserve composed of
sand dunes and pines. Check the tide tables before walking to the lighthouse on the point,
the only cast-iron lighthouse in the UK. The cooperatively owned post office has an at-
tractive old fashioned shop and cafe, selling tea and cake for walkers.
