The view from here is fantastic: you can see out to the edges of the Gower in every dir-
ection, and on a clear day you can see south to Lundy Island and the Devon and Somerset
coast. It's a great spot to watch the sunset.
To find it, turn right on the road leaving the King Arthur Hotel in Reynoldston and look
out for a rough parking area on your left. Looking north, you can see the stone on the ho-
rizon.

there's a lovely, old-fashioned, wood-panelled bar with open fires that serves real ales and
good pub grub (mains £6 to £17). The bedrooms above are less atmospheric but clean and
comfortable. For true romance, ask for stone-walled 18th-century Guinevere's Cottage
(self-catering or B&B).

extensive grounds, Fairyhill lives up to its name in terms of its location, aesthetics and
holistic treatments. Dinner-inclusive rates are available for the acclaimed on-site restaur-
ant (two-/three-course lunch £20/25, mains £15 to £25). The menu is pleasantly Welsh -
salt-marsh lamb and bay lobsters both feature.

Llangennith
Surfers head to this pretty village at the northern end of Rhossili Bay where there's a good
local pub and a large camping ground right by the beach. At the heart of the village is a
Norman church with a blunt stone tower containing a 13th-century limestone effigy of a
