Install the Chef Development Tools on Windows
You will need an Internet connection and administrator privileges on your computer in order
to install the Chef development tools in Windows.
Visit the Chef downloads page to download the installer for your version of Windows. Fol-
low the Chef Development Kit link as shown in Figure 2-9 to see if there is an installer avail-
able for your version of Windows.

Choose your desired version of Windows. Once you've made your selection, a download
link for an installation package will be displayed.
If there is no Chef Development Kit installation for your version of Windows, you'll need to
install the Chef Client for your platform instead and perform some additional installation
