All of the upmarket lodges and camps offer boat safaris (some on the Rufiji River, others
on Lake Tagalala), wildlife drives and guided walks, and most also offer fly camping.
Selous Impala Camp TENTED CAMP $$$

1090; Jun-Mar; ) The well-located Impala is one of the smallest of the Selous
camps, and good value if you take advantage of some of Coastal Travel's flight-accom-
modation deals. It has eight well-spaced, beautifully appointed tents in a prime setting on
the river near Lake Mzizimia. The restaurant overlooks the river and has an adjoining bar
area on a deck jutting out towards the water, and the surrounding area is rich in wildlife.
Lake Manze Tented Camp TENTED CAMP $$$

Camp, this place is more rustic than its sister camp but quite comfortable and favourably
situated, with 12 well-outfitted tents in a good location along an arm of Lake Manze. Ask
about flight- accommodation deals.
Selous Safari Camp TENTED CAMP $$$

Rufiji in a lush setting overlooking Lake Nzelekela, with 12 spacious tents, a raised dining

Rufiji River Camp TENTED CAMP $$$

) This long-standing and unpretentious camp, now run by the Fox family, has a fine loc-
