US$225/360; Jun-Easter) Chole Mjini has accommodation in six spacious, beautifully
designed tree houses, plus one lower 'ground house', and a long history of community in-

the mangroves or the Chole ruins. There's no electricity. The concept of Chole Mjini grew
out of the founders' commitment to the local community, and community development is

and education projects, and over the almost two decades of the project's life, a health clinic,
kindergarten and primary school have been established.
