reasonably priced main dishes, plus an amenable mix of local and expat clientele. You can

Located upstairs at Neema Crafts Centre, this cafe is justifiably popular, with local coffees
and teas, milkshakes, home-made cookies, cakes, soups, light meals, sandwiches and ice
cream. In one corner is a small library where you can read up on various development pro-
jects in the area
Greek Club Café

(meals Tsh7000-12,500; 10am-6pm Mon-Fri) This small cafe has good coffees, light
meals, home-made baked goods, a small gift shop and porch seating. It's in the Gangilonga
area in the same compound as the Greek Orthodox church, and not signposted. Follow
Kawawa Rd down past the Lutheran Centre. Take the first left, then turn right down the
small road between the Greek and the Seventh Day Adventist churches. Take the first left
into the Greek church compound.
Sai Villa
INDIAN, EUROPEAN $$

8am-9.30pm) A popular spot, especially evenings, with a large menu featuring Indian and
continental cuisine, pizzas and vegetarian selections. Follow Kawawa Rd past the Lutheran
Hostel for about 500m to Mama Siyovelwa pub. Continue past the pub for 300m and take
the second right (it's just after the road merges with Kenyatta Dr). Sai Villa is the first gate
(white) on your right opening into a large private compound. There's no signboard.
Lulu's

A quiet place with mostly Chinese and Asian dishes, plus soft-serve ice cream, milkshakes
and an umbrella-shaded outdoor seating area. It's one block southeast of the main road, just
off Kawawa Rd.
