is one of the best.

Kigoma Community Centre GUESTHOUSE $
(Kiezya Rd; s/d without bathroom Tsh4000/5000) These church-run rooms are some of

EATING & DRINKING
Sun City TANZANIAN $
(Lumumba St; mains Tsh2500-4000; breakfast, lunch & dinner) A clean and almost
artistic spot for wali maharagwe (rice and beans) and other local meals. There's also chick-
en biryani on Sunday.
Coast View Resort TANZANIAN, ITALIAN $
(mains Tsh2500-10,000; breakfast, lunch & dinner) Assuming you can score a table
with a view, it's worth the trip up here for dinner or sundowners. The menu is mostly local,
but has some Italian too.
Kigoma Catering INTERNATIONAL $$
(Lumumba St; mains Tsh2000-13,000; breakfast, lunch & dinner) The biggest, and with
Indian, Chinese, European and local dishes, broadest menu in town. Though it won't 'wow'
you, the food is pretty good. It's a shame the service is so poor.
There are several small shops around the market. Khalfan (Mlole Rd) , Supermarket
(Mlole Rd) and Kigoma Bakery (Lumumba St) sell expensive imported goods.
