Mar; ) Situated far into the park, near the Endabash River and hot springs, Lemala has
nine simple tents (one family sized) overlooking the lake from a stand of acacias. It makes
the most of its bush setting but don't let the prices fool you, it's not a luxury camp. But
guests here can do night drives in the park, which counts for something.
Atop the Escarpment
The benefit of staying here are the outstanding views.
Panorama Safari Campsite

the hill is hot and dusty with run-down hot-water ablutions, but the price is great and the
views are as wonderful as any of the luxury lodges up here. It has small no-frills tents right
up against the cliff and sunset views are just a short walk away. It serves drinks, but no
food, and an acrobatic group lives here and can be hired for performances. Dalla-dallas
from Mto wa Mbu heading to Karatu pass the entrance (Tsh500).
Kirurumu Manyara Lodge

unpretentious ambience, closeness to the natural surroundings and memorable cuisine are
the hallmarks of this highly regarded camp. It's about 6km down a rough road from the
main road, with views of Lake Manyara in the distance and a bush feel up close. The
tents are well spaced amid the vegetation, and there are several larger 'family suite' tents.
Maasai-guided ethno-botanical and sunset walks are free and fly-camping can be organ-
ised.

large complex with shady grounds, the 67 well-appointed rooms are in appealing two-
storey conical thatched bungalows. Nature walks and village visits are available, as is mas-
sage. It lacks the intimacy and naturalness of Kirurumu, but is nevertheless a justifiably
popular choice.
