rustic, church-run place in a quiet setting 4.5km from town has camping, two small double
rooms (one sharing ablutions) and accommodation in converted farm buildings, including
the six-person self-catering Mkuyu Lodge. Rates include a farm breakfast. Irente Farm also
prepares picnic lunches for Tsh6000 per person with advance order and sells homemade
cheese, jams and bread.

over the plains below on clear days from all the rooms compensate for the somewhat over-
furnished interior at this lodge, which is built on the edge of a cliff about 1.5km beyond
Irente Farm directly at Irente Viewpoint. Just below is a grassy camping ground (camping
US$5) with hot-water showers.

grassy hillsides, that does a good job of mixing Tanzania with Switzerland. There are stand-
ard family rooms, and a separate luxury bungalow with two doubles sharing a sitting/fire-
place area. All are spotless and comfortable, and there is hiking at your doorstep. It's about
15km from Lushoto past Migambo village, in an area well situated for walking, and a good
option for those with their own transport.

in sprawling grounds, with rooms in the main house or, for a bit more privacy, in nearby
cottages (with two rooms sharing a sitting room), plus meals. There are also a few less ap-
pealing cement huts with shared bathroom and a large grassy camping area with a covered
cooking area. It's 2km beyond Swiss Farm Cottage in a similarly fine walking area, and
signposted.
